After Pleasure brings together a series of paintings in which the body is offered as a territory of silence and interrupted beauty. Young bodies — docile, serene, exposed — rest upon skulls and bones in scenes that oscillate between contemplation and decay. There is no violence or drama, only a tense calm that seems to contain the memory of a desire already consumed.

Eroticism manifests itself in stillness — in the possibility of a gesture that never quite occurs. Each figure embodies the pause that follows pleasure: that instant when the body has said everything and only its echo remains.

Death, always close to queer imagination, does not appear here as a threat but as an inevitable presence — a shadow that accompanies. These paintings turn that proximity into an act of resistance: the bodies do not perish; they rest. After Pleasure is, ultimately, a luminous elegy on fragility, persistence, and the tenderness of continuing to exist even when everything seems to have ended.
