With technological advances, our bodies are no longer fixed or immutable elements; we now possess the ability to manage and modify them, and their only condition is to no longer remain entirely natural.
The series Dissections emerges from the idea of de-solidifying the body, inspired by photo-editing software and glitches — those tiny software errors that allow us to redesign ourselves by playing with our skin and reshaping our silhouettes.
It is a physical glitch, a manifestation of corrupted data produced through an analog and low-tech method that questions contemporary ideals of beauty and the ways in which we judge and transform our own bodies.
